Only if I zoom in I start to notice some edge issues. Thanks again for recommending I check out default defocus, on my high detail scene it actually looks great. If I select an object with cryptomatte and change its brightness, and there's a volume light in front of the object, does the volume light also change in brightness? I would assume it, does as it seems cryptomatte is mostly just for selecting things. I'm going to give all the AOVs a look and see if there's anything else I could implement in my workflow! Cryptomatte looks very useful just like having separate render passes. So you are rendering everything into 1 single EXR file? Oh that reminds me - how do I combine and save out all render passes and final frame in 1 EXR file? It's the first time I'm doing anything to do with AOVs, denoising and z depth/motion vectors so I've been quite scared! Btw, if you are rendering an animation, don't forget the Lock Sampling option on the Arnold Renderer Tab. My advice is for you to use the Noice Imager, play with the values and then use it. Have a proper look at the Noice settings. Using denoiser, as any 'artifacts' brought with denoising will probably compliment the youtube compression. I am attaching the AOV settings that I use for my work. If possible find a plugin that splits up EXR file into each render passes and composites them so there's less blending to do, but I guess that's easy enough to learn in worst case scenario. I would have a look first at the DepthDefocus first and see if you are happy with the results. Makes everything way easier and avoids adjustments that would ruined your image.īuying Frischluft lenscare for Fusion that comes with Davinci resolve

Rendering out AOV's for rebuilding the beauty (I really like having control over various passes in post)
